Since the geological process varies greatly, slates range quite a bit in hardness and porosity.

Quartzite’s are a non-foliated metamorphic rock that was altercated from what was once igneous rock and was formed by heat and pressure caused by the earth, that is primarily composed of quartz which is usually white and grey if pure. Quartzite with various shades of colors such as pink and red are due to the iron oxide content that is compressed in the stone. Baby Pink is a quartzite that comes in several different sizes, which allows freedom of design with out having to use several types of materials. Due to the hard nature of this stone, Baby Pink can be used in a number of different areas including showers and pool water lines.
